Things sure seem to be lining up for me. Firstly, I dropped my personality class (even though it was probably my favorite) because I just have too much fuckin' reading to do. This way I'll be able to keep up with the other classes. Since it's my earliest class (which definitely factored into the decision), I now get to sleep until 10:00 AM every day of the week. Ohhhhhhh that's nice. I was downright chipper when I went to class today at 11:30.
I arrive at Spanish today, homework done and ready to go, when it's announced that there is no class today. Professor Contreras is sick. Whoa... no way. So now I don't have class until 1:30 today. Yeah, that is pretty frickin' sweet.
Guy's bid day is this weekend... I can't even express how awesome it's gonna be. If I get a bid (and I refuse to assume I will until it happens), I'm pledging Delta Sigma Phi. Awesome bunch of guys. If that happens, then Saturday night will contain the Bid Day party for me... and oh wow. I didn't go to one last year, but they are universally considered the best (series) of parties on campus. I can't wait. And on Sunday (providing I'm still conscious), the family is going out to Chop House for Dad's birthday. Yeah, I'm okay with a big ol' steak to round out a stellar weekend.
Still a couple of hurdles before I get there, though: a class discussion in history today being the biggest. My group of 4 or so is supposed to lead discussion for an hour, and after meeting last night we realized it's gonna be a long shot. I also need to practice my piano music, which I've been neglecting. That isn't so much a hurdle as something fun that I HAVE to find time to do. I have a shift at the Campus Center tonight too... again not a huge deal.
I'd like to dedicate this post to Ann Humble, whose awesome teaching let me get an AP credit at Transy, which in turn allowed me to drop a class without falling behind. I'll have a drink in your honor on Saturday.
That's all folks!
