Stupid weather

So I was supposed to go up to Lehigh this weekend to be one of the patients for Ry's state EMT test tomorrow, but even though it's only raining here (and has rained pretty much ALL DAY) it is snowing a lot at Lehigh and around there. And my parents don't like me driving in that, and Ryan didn't want me driving in potentially dangerous weather/road conditions either, which is sorta cute that he gets all worried about me although I'm slightly insulted that he does not think much of my driving abilities, so I am now at home, cleaning my room and working on artsy-crafty projects. I'm a bit disappointed about not seeing Ry before Christmas, although I did see him last weekend b/c I was a and I'll be seeing him for New Years. It would have been nice b/c there's not really anyone at the house and I enjoy spending time with him without a bajillion other people around. He only came down to visit me two or three times this semester I think, while I've gone up at least every other weekend this semester. Granted, I also get to see Grace and Whitney and other brothers I'm friends with and other Lehigh people, but the main reason for me going up is to visit Ryan. I suppose I have more free time on the weekends, generally speaking, but I'm hoping next semester I can get him to visit me more often so I don't have to be driving there so often. Plus, I wanted to give him my present for his parents, but I guess he can deliver it after New Years.

It doesn't feel like it's only 6 days until Christmas. I'm looking forward to it, since I'll be taking a whole week off, and I am going with my mom to visit my grandparents and some other relatives in MA, which will be nice since I haven't been to visit Boston in over a year I think. I am listening to Christmas music, but part of me keeps thinking it's too early, it can't be Christmas already! I love Christmas, but for some reason this year my anticipation and excitement aren't here yet. Maybe it's the rain, Christmas and rain don't go together at all.

christmas, weekend, ryan
