Woe
for I am have a cold. It figures, since I wasn't sick all summer and classes start Monday. It makes me extremely sad. I have been drinking juice and tea until I feel like I'll drown in it, and blowing my nose and trying to get better but despite my efforts I can feel it creeping down into my chest where it will lurk evilly for weeks. Much sadness. I need to be mostly better by Friday, since Ryan is coming to help me bring my stuffs back to school, and I'm moving in Saturday. Moving in always takes me an obscenely long amount of time, and now it will go more slowly b/c I feel icky. At least I'm mostly packed already, I'm going to finish tomorrow hopefully.
Folk fest was last weekend, and really fun as always. Slightly less fun when it was FREEZING Saturday night and then rained Sunday, thus prompting Mal and I to flee back to civilization early. Dave's numerous relatives are generally entertaining and cool to hang out with, and I bought a pretty tie-dyed t-shirt! Surprising that I had never done so before, but this one was really pretty and I wanted it. I got a new ear cuff and got to chat about metal working a little with the man who makes them, which was spiffy. I love looking at all the handmade stuff, I'm pretty sure I could do some of it. If I had lots of time and real tools to do it, of course. That would be a cool job, just making cool stuff all the time.
