[He's not looking at his journal. He's looking at the empty room around him. When Hito hadn't responded to any amount of nagging or cajoling or pounding on his door, he'd set his expression and teleported inside.
It's like he was never even there.]
This place... I don't know, I thought it was different than the other worlds we'd been to. I mean, we were able to move between worlds, but he would've told me if he was going anywhere.
What kind of a place is this, that people can just go off and disappear without a trace like that?
