I promised bookelfe, loquaciousquark, and jade-sabre-301 that I'd make a post about this in Decemeber, so...
HAVE ANY OF YOU READ THE QUEEN'S THIEF BY MEGAN WHALEN TURNER?
If you have and you don't know already, it may interest you to learn that a new book is coming out in the spring. A Conspiracy of Kings will be out March 23, 2010 Stateside (dunno about the rest of the world, sorry).
bookelfe, loquaciousquark, jade-sabre-301 and I would like to do a group reread of the first three books in the series (The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia). I'm putting out this post to invite anyone who has read the books to join, or for anyone who is interested in reading the books to join as well. We certainly don't mind anyone new joining in (in fact, we encourage it)! And, knowing what we know of how incredibly KICKASS these books are, we will naturally keep ourselves from spoiling you.
So, guys, when do you want to do this? I know the three month gap until the book comes out (from the start of the new year, I mean) gives us a perfect opening to read a book a month, but somehow I seriously doubt any of us can manage such a slow pace. Especially since if I know Quark and Jade, they'll want to get to the boat scene SOON SOON SOON, and after that to the grand King of Attolia Squeefest.
