The mention at the beginning about the lawn needing mowing is, perhaps oddly enough, one of my favorite parts here. It just feels so natural, having him respond to something she said in her last letter and knowing they're discussing relatively domestic things like lawn care.

Poor BJ. You really do a good job of capturing his weariness. And him including that sweet conversation with Hawkeye was a great addition. They have an awesome friendship. I really liked that one little fic you did where Hawkeye muses on the different ways he cares about people and how BJ helped him mature.

Hehe, I got that idea from the episode where BJ is upset because Peg hired a guy to clean the gutters and she says he looks better than Errol Flynn, and BJ freaks out because he's certain she'll marry that kid. I was thinking that while I'm only writing letters from his POV, he would have received letters from her.

Aww, thanks. I began realizing that I was only painting Hawkeye as a Casanova, and that to someone like Peg (I'm making some judgments on what type of person she is based off of what we know about BJ) she might not see why her husband is so attached to someone like that. Hence, including that scene :).

Hehe, that fic was a result of me overanalyzing the show, and debating if Trapper and BJ would get along, and how Hawkeye's character seemed to change a bit due to the differences between Trapper and BJ.

I'm glad you think I did everyone justice :). (And yes, I adore the friendship between BJ and Hawk too :)).
