So I realized that everything I had posted at willows_whiten was fan fiction, so instead of trying to write something that would end up being subpar, I might as well use those (plus they didn't get much reading from anyone except naboosenator and a comment here or there from molsey.

It's been a while. A long while. But this is the post of the lifetime.

Are you ready for this?

::takes a deep breath::

I, Anne Shirley, have agreed to be Gilbert Blythe's friend.

I don't even know what happened. I'm usually a very prideful person. Yet, something happened. Something broke that pride. Can I explain it, or is there something even I can't find words to describe?

He rescued me from drowning. I was horrible to him, and he saved my life. How many people can you say that about?

He is smart. It's hard to find a really intellectual male. He will go far in life. I know he will.

He's honest and sincere. He has no secret agenda.

So, I broke down. I agreed to be the friend of Gilbert Blythe.

Let's just hope I don't come to regret it. (After all, who else knows how to anger me, like him?)
