Anne flopped down on the davenport.
"Hey darling, is everything alright?" Gilbert asked, looking up from the book he was reading.
"Yeah," Anne sighed.
"Which means no. What's wrong?"
"I don't know. . . I just don't feel like doing anything."
"You know what the solution for that is, right?" Gilbert asked.
"Umm. . .do something?"
Gilbert smiled as though plotting something. He put down his book and picked up Anne from where she had landed. He carried her outside, and laid her on the grass beneath the sun.
"Mm, yeah I do love being outside."
"And as Aretaeus said, 'lethargics are to be laid in the light, and exposed to the rays of the sun for the disease of gloom.'"
"So true. I can never be gloomy on a sunny day."
