I'm a sucker.

Have a couple minutes to post and do a couple other things before heading off to work, an activity I feel like I am doing nothing but these days. Today it's 12 hours in Valpo, which is nice as I'm in town, but sucks because it's 12 hours, which meant I had to work "28" in Crown Point. I've probably put in about 40, as I spent about eight hours Thursday and Friday doing different things (on my own choice) to get ready for our visit from our regional manager (who didn't come). It must be nice to give a big middle finger to your stores like that.

Nothing much else is really happening with my life. I've barely been keeping up with the news with the whole working thing; I missed the DNC entirely, and I've just now started researching Sarah Palin. I'm really on the fence right now when it comes to this election. The John McCain of 2000 would have had my vote in this election immediately, but he's changed and made himself more Republican-friendly in the past eight years, and I don't know if I can support that. Palin is a surprise choice, one who is too inexperienced and too connected to Big Oil and drilling (her husband does drilling for BP) for my liking. But Barack Obama has only been on the national stage a couple years himself, and as my socially conservative side oftentimes tries to overpower my fiscally liberal side, I have a few serious reservations with social policy if he's elected. And I still don't know anything about Biden.

I think it will be a gametime decision as to who I end up voting for.

I'd post more, but I have to go to work. Catch y'all on the flip side.
