Your 8th grade year in Middle School is supposed to be "the worst year of your life." Let's see how much you remember. I know for some it might be hard for you to go back that far!
Year: 1998-99
1. Who were your best friends?
Mike R., Ryan V., Mike J.
2. What sports did you play?
Soccer (goalie), basketball (center), baseball (catcher and third baseman)
3. Did you take your lunch?
Almost never. At $1.35, it was a bargain.
4. It's Friday night, where were you?
In my house, probably in my room or watching TV in the living room.
5. Were you a party animal?
Oh, of course, I have plenty of wild stories from when I was 14 ...
6. Were you in the "In Crowd"?
lol! You know me, I'm the most popular person around.
7. Ever skip school?
Perfect attendance streak had been going for two years at that point (and about four years other than the one day I had to miss for my braces).
8. Ever smoke?
No.
9. Were you a nerd?
lol, yeah
10. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Nope.
11. Can you sing the alma mater?
I don't think many people in Seabrook know what an alma mater is.
12. Who was your fav. teacher?
Mr. Shepard, Mrs. Souney, and ... Mrs. Perriccio. Yeah, I liked her as a band director, and she got the royal screwjob when she was fired.
13. What were your favorite classes?
English, algebra 1 at the high school, and band.
14. What was your schools full name?
At the time, it was still Seabrook Elementary School. The middle school didn't branch off until a few years later.
15. School mascot?
The Ram. And that had nothing to do with the fact that many of the girls in my grade (and otherwise) have gotten themselves pregnant since then.
16. Did you go to the dances?
Just the eighth-grade mixer at the high school, where I didn't really meet anyone (which was supposed to be the intent), but had my only slow dance ever!
17. Who was your BF or GF?
Every single girl in school. ... OF COURSE NOT!
18. What do you remember most about Middle School?
Breaking my glasses playing baseball the Friday before going to Washington, D.C., and having to get a rush pair made for me at an eye doctor in North Hampton.
19. Favorite memory of your 8th grade year?
Going to D.C.
20. Were you ever posted up on the 8th graders wall?
Uh?
21. Did you have a job your 8th grade year?
Nope, not until the summer between 8th and 9th grade (at the day camp at the Seabrook Recreation Center).
22. Where did you go most often for lunch?
The cafeteria ...
23. Have you gained weight since then?
I was 6', 160 at the end of eighth grade. I'm 6'2", 215 now. You do the math.
24. What did you do after graduation?
I hung out with my parents and my godmother and her cousins, who had made the trip.
25. Did you like your eighth grade year?
It was okay, it really doesn't stick out in any tremendous way.
