Yes and yes. In the early 70s I shared a house with a band and some girlfriends. There was something else in the house. Ah yes...the shudderless chill from the small of the back to the nape of the neck...the hairs standing on end...the lightness in the guts by which one can tell direction...gender...emotional state...
And then there are imprints...some more intense than others...went on a 'haunted' walking tour in Toronto a few years back, part of it was one of the most intensely imprinted sites I have ever stood on...the guide didn't tell us what had gone on there, just told us to see what we felt...it was wild, rushing, frenzied excitement, not joyful, like a whole bunch of people wildly excited about something, jumping up and down...the guide wouldn't even come in with us, said it made her head hurt...afterwards, coming up to her, describing that, she told us they used to hang people there.
There's a lot going on most people don't think to notice...or realize they're noticing...even if they've noticed all along. It often comes on you like remembering...
