I think I just saw Noah's ark floating down my street
Oops, that was just my neighbors mini-van but it's an easy mistake to make right now...
So, here a little update from my world:
- It started raining last week and shows no sign of stopping. We had a tornado and some really nasty T-storms all day today. I planted a new tree in the yard last month and the poor thing is laying on it's side begging for mercy.
- My sump pump gave up the ghost on Sat and I've been fighting the rising water in my basement ever since. I now have a swimming pool in my finished basement. On the bright side, I now own a house that has 2 pools and one of them is indoors with a pool table for a diving board :-)
- Classes started this week for the Fall 07 semester. It's been crazy time, faculty are bickering and students are already making up excuses to get out of homework that I haven't even assigned yet. Good Times!
I'm 3 days behind on a deadline for a textbook review that I can't seem to find time to work on.- My little boy started High School today and it's just sinking in that he really is growing up and finding his way in the world without me. It makes me both Happy and Sad.
- I usually go to 2 or 3 big conferences every year for work and I got 2 of them approved today in an attempt to put my yearly schedule together a bit earlier than the last minute. I'll be going to Nashville in November and back to Vegas in the Spring, both should be fun
- Finally, with all the fun stuff going on at home and work I decided to pack up and take a vacation. Timing is everything and next weekend is my birthday (I think I'm going to be 32 again, maybe I'll add a year and be 33 - guess I'll decide that later :-) Anyway, I'm treating myself to a trip out to visit my lovely friends on the West Coast to celebrate my ever decreasing age. Finally, something to be excited about!!
On that note, I think I'll head off to bed before the power goes out again. Wishing you all warm, sunny days filled with love, laughter and really great porn!
