Week one of... zomg... last semester of library school
So0o0o0o0, all moved back into the dorm at QC! And my suitemates and roomie are awesome sauce! Alex, Brittany, and my roomie Anna are all complete, utter and total sweethearts. Love them. We all tend to sleep and get up on the early side, and while we all like the opccasional party, we prefer not having an ultramessy sweet... we're all like hobbits in that we like comfort and not bad odors or dirt or mess or other such unpleasantness.... and we LOVE food! Especially sweets! We've been eating way too much of those. In fact, I just made a batch of chocolate chunk cookies for the Circle K bake sale Monday... fresh from the oven, baby!
We have a very homey dorm in general compared to other people. My friend's room smells like weed. Another friend has a sort of bland and empty room, and other people have rooms that are just... bleh. I like how the four of us made ours.
So, here's a general outline of the week since I started.
Last Froday
Moved in. My mom and my best friend (Brit... sooooo many Brittanys in my life! My roomie will be Brittany, the STAND/Environmental Club Brittany will be Britt, and my bestie and DnD buddy is Brit. There. Maybe my future self will be less confused? XD Ya know, when I read this when i'm thirty and think me now sounds like a total twat, sorta like how I think of my high school self?) We had some time where the group of us and Alex played Dirty Minds... ohhh the innuendos... and we played Sour Apples. Later on, Brit and I, plus Colum, Adam and Meghan went to Medieval Times, which was gooooooood times. And man oh MAN the Yellow Knight (go, go, Hufflepuff!) was SIZZLING SMOKING HOT. Whewwwwwww! It's just a shame he didn't win. Hahahaaa when we got to talk to the actors after the show, Meg was all "sorry you died." Whooooops. Oh, and the Royal Knight drink was to die for even if it wasn't all that strong- I wasn't the least bit tipsy after two of them (though I got a really cool helmet mug in the bargain!) Then me, Brit and colum were up past three talking about D&D and other such nerdy awesomeness.
Saturday
Whyyyyy don't I remember Saturday? Oh yeah! Me and Brit played some D&D after talking about random stuff. Basically, her paladin Kiran did more investigation into the murders, learned that Nont'im has the power to send brief messages by his thoughts (telepathy FTW!), and put this girl Zoe at Bolingbarke University into protective custody after her roommate reported finding really bloodied pants in her pack when she was cleaning their dorm room. I have so many plans coming up... I need to drop more clues about the real killer, get Zoe's halfling friend Carlo into the picture, and get the Dremeadow messenger designated by Folco (who is getting to be in very bad health indeed) from Northchester, Cancalia down to Bolingbarke. Poor Folco *huggles the hobbit prince of our current campaign tightly* After Brit left, I finished off unpacking... and can't remember what I did Saturday night but i know I hung out with someone o_O I also watched a lot of Avatar: The Last Airbender

More finishing unpacking... ummm... i dunno... wowwwwww this week officially killed my memory of this past weekend. Jeez. I feel like I hung out with people then too. *facepalm*
Monday
Class started. Wahhhhh. I had Storytelling... like that class... so I have to show a bunch of people this fingerplay and then report back to the class about how it went with my various performances. I showed my roommates and Melissa... oh! We had a suitewide potluck! I made Oreo cookies (Lena was with me and we had lots of cookiemaking fun!() and Brittany and Alex made eggplant parm (nommy) At one point, Anna and I were on a cheese mission. We also had our first Circle K meeting. Bryan insists on calling me by my last name, hahaaaaaaa. Then he had a really funny moment at one point in the meeting when we were playing an icebreaker involving a frisbee, and I was all "Bravo, Bravo!" So now we call each other by surname lololol.
Tuesday
I had work, went to the gym, bought two volumes of the Goong manhwa series from Book Off, and then Colum and I saw Newsies! Epic show. Epic, epic show.
Wednesday
First class of the thesis class. I saw Shabad and Brittany and hung out with them in the suite living room before class. What else.... oh! i had a job interview! Really hoping I end up with an IA spot because I'm more broke than a glass vase dropped off the roof of a 5-story building. After class, there was a Circle K eboard meeting where Shabad, Mariana, Daniel and I talked awards and decided to meet up Froday (aka today) to do further work because well.. it is a ton of work. As secretary, i had to compile individual hours... definitely no stroll in the park. Oh, and I ate way too many chocolate sticks. Gahhhh.
Thursday
i had work, and then Mariana and I got Panera AND McDonalds (way to be a fatass Cher) and then saw the Hobbit! That was my fourth time seeing the Hobbit movie. And four times is not nearly enough to sate me. Sigh sigh.
You know something epic? Apparently I legpress 420! o_O I nearly fainted with shock when it dawned on me that I was going nigh on triple my weight. I just hope that translates into speed! I also need to stop eating high-calorie food, because that makes fat and fat on body makes a slow racewalker. Bad Cher!
Friday
Why, my little grasshopper, that would be today! I met up with Mariana/Chani/Daniel/Shabad (with a guest appearance by Kelly) this morning at the campus Starbucks to work on awards, and then went to work. After work, I watched Les Mis with Rebecca/Brittany/Alex/Anna/Tim and did... lots of paperwork. I finished the individual hours AND wrote an essay on how the Midnight Run was an awesome service project for the Queens community AND wrote a letter certifying that one of the volunteers was indeed a volunteer AND finished the January MRF (I think). Now I just have to do my *two* assignments for my thesis class and add the Circle K newbies to the mailing list so that they know when we have service projects.
But now? Shower and sleepytime. Night!!! *hobbity huggles to shnehsicle*
