I did it!
Yay! I won my Running club's Grand Prix. There were a series of races that would count towards the title, and you got points for each one depending on how many other club members finished ahead of you. By April I was top of the table and I've stayed there ever since, but I had to run a couple of races while I was ill recently to ensure that I stayed at the top. Today's race was the last in the series and it sealed my victory, leaving me 6 points clear at the top of the table. I'm not sure when I'll get my trophy (in 2007 the awards night was in May) but it's very very big : )
