this may be rude and wrong, but i am tired of hearing about libya 25/8. they're out there protesting and such, so of course they had certain things coming to them. while people in christchurch didn't expect nor invite an earthquake to damage and take lives and don't get 1/3 of the attention of what is going on in libya. everyday there is a tragedy someplace, and it breaks my heart that things cannot be better immediately. there was a fire that destroyed dozens of homes on the other side of my state just two weeks ago, and they still need help. i wish we could take our eyes off of things that are not necessarily our problems, and stop judging. and stop shoving things down others throats, as they try and get through a basic day. i go onto my social sites to be social, not be informed of deaths that i already know that are happening. that's what TV and radio and news sites are for. i do not want to hear about death tolls rising or see terrible pictures and videos, as i know they are happening anyways, with or without help of what the media talks about. all you can do is watch, and not obviously help. you still eat better, live in better conditions, etc than what is going on, while writing hurr durr paragraphs to post on tumblr that only infuriate or depress people. i'd like for just one day, to be free of media and sad stories. i am positive a lot of people would like that. i'm just tired of hearing these stories of far off places. don't get me wrong, i care, but to an extent. i'm not living there, so i can't speak of what is right, wrong, preferred, or deserved of a country. and i wish others could be respectful and do the same. don't inform me of what is right and wrong, our own country struggles with subjects.
