Also, I asked Hikaru to go with me when I test for my license tomorrow, so maybe you and Eiji can coordinate doing any stuff you need to do while we're out?
Ne, do you ever think I'll fail at anything? I mean, you always have this complete and utter faith that I'll surpass everything I need to, so I was just wondering if there ever a time you worry that I won't?
Never. That isn't just butler loyalty either. I truly believe you put your all into everything you do and you have the confidence in yourself to never second guess.
If by chance you do happen to fail in something, it won't change my opinion of you. You aren't the sort to get knocked down and stay there. You'll jump up, dust off, and do it again and I'll be right there with you as always.
That's not always true, though. I second guess myself a lot on one thing, even if I don't on anything else.
I didn't just race into choosing to do what my parents wanted me to do, which you know since you were here and saw everything I did to avoid it before I made my choice.
I thought about it a lot, but every now and again, I worry about screwing up when I actually take over his practice or even if I start my own. Mostly, because if I fuck up it's going to be a kid that my mistake hurts.
Which, I guess is stupid, huh?
That goes both ways, just so you know. I know you're super butler to everyone even me sometimes, but I know you're human just like everyone else, so if anything ever happens or goes wrong--- I've got your back, I swear!
[ooc: turning 20 made him do a lot of soul-searching, it seems. I'm sorry he turned rambly, Shira. ]
That is exactly why I don't think you'll fail. You took your time in figuring out what you wanted to do and only accepted it when you felt it was what you wanted, not what your family wanted, and something you will enjoy.
There's risk in everything, including being a butler. What if I make something you or a friend are allergic to? What if you slip on water I didn't clean? What if I gave you the wrong information about someone and you lose a major business deal?
As much as you like to get up and move and do everything NOWNOWNOW you still take your time with patients and I know you will study your hardest and make sure there is little room for a mistake to appear in.
It already has Thank you. I'll remember those words, oh evil one.
I've been working on being more patient lately and trying to slow down when it comes to important stuff, instead of just rushing through it all.
Fuck, it's hard sometimes, but I'm trying because I know I can't expect everything else in the world to revolve at my pace forever.
You're welcome. I know I may seem like a kid in a lot of ways to people with my personality and everything, but I'm not. You can count on me as much as I can count on you, especially when and if you ever need me.
You could also rent a storage for it until Break and you can ride it home.

Why don't you stop worrying over me and your career path and enjoy the last few hours of your birthday? It only comes once a year after all.

Okay. I'm going to text Hikaru and see if he's ready for us to come over yet. I don't want to show up before Eiji's ready.

I think it's more you should email to see if Lord Hikaru is home from his tutoring yet.

I assumed he would be, but, yeah, I'd better check.
