(no subject)
OK, so I helped to throw this HUGE party two days ago, and it turned out SO well. It originally was just me and a couple friends that wanted to have a free fun day in the park with sack races and beer and tetherball and beer and stuff. It kinda exploded and there ended up being 4 bands playing and LOTS of beer and dodgeball. At one time, David took a head count (yeah i know, i didn't know he could count either) and there was 85 people!!!! We ended up getting posted on foopee.com (the best resource for punk rock shows in the bay area & Sacramento... also known simply as "the list") The bands playing were Andrew's band The Passionistas, Ryan's band Black Market Bombs, this cool band 50 million that played without their drummer or bassist, but they were alright.. better at the later show when they had the drummer & bassist, but lastly the most awesome band ever... Icky Girlfriend. They were all like 14 years old and they rocked so hard. They were the best band I've seen in a very very long time. I wish they would make a record. They just happened to be there so we threw them on the "stage". This band MinorxSection was supposed to play, but they didnt'. They took off and were like "hey we'll be right back". Losers. Oh well, they probably found something cooler =). The dodgeball game got really big, but i got pegged in the nuts and I suck at dodgeball. Also one of the highlights of the day was Keile's (sp?) dog Seqouia. He was awesome, I went to bark at him though and right as I did a fly flew into my ear and I let out this really weird yelp I didn't know I was capable of. It was awesome. Well, I'm like 30 min. late for work cause I wanted to get on the computer for a minute. Oh yeah, and I'm starting a second job soon at this place.. www.asqewgrill.com it's so delicious.
