Long time no post
That fact that I've not posted in so long is a testiment to how crazy my life has been in the last few months. The holidays were good times, but definately less eventful than they have been in the past. Thanksgiving was limited to cousin Samantha's family, myself and the Soriano siblings. It was just tons of food, and then some quality time playing Scene It! and Crainum Hoopla. Christmas was good times, too. We had our normal "Fake Christmas" celebration before Rhea Mae went back to Japan for the holidays. Basically lots of food and an excuse to open our presents early!! The for the real Christmas, the whole D-Unit (hahah, the Domingo side of the family) got together as usual. There are a lot more little kids then there have been in a while: I swear they are multiplying everytime I blink.
New Year weekend was definately a good time. On the 30th, Gerald and made the drive out to Las Vegas, which was pretty crappy because we got stopped on the 15 freeway for an hour and a half due to a stupid highway closure. But we finally got to Vegas in time to see UFC 66....and my Iceman Chuck Liddell beat Tito Ortiz's ass!! We were total groupies, hunting down as many fighters as we could find in the lobby to take pictures with. On the 31st we made the drive back to LA to go see the Lakers play (Lakers tickets were my Christmas present...thank you, Gerald!) It was the best weekend ever!!
Since then, it has been nothing but work, Work, WORK!!! So you can understand my not wanting to post when I get home (after 11 hours in front of my computer at work, it's the last thing I want to do when I get home!)
There has been some addtional madness this week. Last Sunday, Gerald's work had their annual flag football tournament, and of course Gerald played. Of course w/ flag football, there is supposed to be no contact, but you all know Gerald. Long story short, Gerald became well acquainted w/ some other guy's elbow, and broke his nose. The mad man finished playing the remainder of the tournament, icing his face between posessions, and his team ended up winning the tourney. We went to the ER that day, and they confirmed that he had a broken nose, but suggested Gerald come back to get it fixed. So on Friday, back he goes to get it fixed. They put him under and he has a wicked reaction to the medication, and ended up in the hospital all day. Now he's just 100% miserable, because his face hurts and he's on a ton of medication. Poor boy is in wicked pain. So Rhea Mae and I have been tending to him all weekend.
Well, I'd best to go, since Gerald randomly wakes up in the middle of the night when his meds wear off. I promise, holiday pics will be posted soon!!
