HELLO KITTY PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT SERVICE
I just wanted to let ALLLL OF YOU know that AYE (pronounced "I" lah) am collecting the Hello Kitty stickers from 7-11, to exchange for the Hello Kitty dolls. (I'm actually collecting the dolls lah, the stickers don't do much for me, well except to exchange for the dolls.) Notably, the mechanics is you get a Hello Kitty sticker for every $5 purchase (except for ciggies, parking coupons and condoms etc etc), with 5 stickers you can buy a Hello Kitty figurine for $3.90, with 10 stickers you get it free.
While I do not expect an outpouring of ALL my friends to rush out and buy up ALLLL the stuff inside 7-11, I would appreciate it if you would keep whatever Hello Kitty stickers that you been given from 7-11 aside, for me. I won't even expect you to top up your $4.75 purchase to $5 for my sake, but just don't THROW AWAY the stickers! Though I wouldn't mind and WILL not refuse, if someone (who possibly works for 7-11 or Hello Kitty for that matter) came up to my store and gave me a carton of the figures. That would not be an UNREASONABLE price for reading my blog and given a glimpse into my spectacular life. (Years later, I will look back at this entry with much amusement and embarrassment.)
This was prompted after a good friend came over to have a drink and proceeded to empty out his wallet of stickers to throw away. GASPS!
