Although I didn't watch the movie, my friends and colleauges enjoyed the movie thoroughly,
(I haven't heard from my colleagues though, not sure if they were overwhelmed by the gayness in the theatre or they hooked up with someone in the cinema and have yet to file an incident report. ;P)
The pre-movie experience was much better. It was quite amazing to sit in a corner and observe all the AJ A-listers and elitist elites grace the event, soaking up the atmosphere. I stood behind Catherine Lim on the escalator up, inhaling every breath she exhaled. I suppose I appreciate her more, since I'm selling her books. (Catherine Lim's Leap of Love? Ah yes! We have that in the Asian section. Did you know I stood behind her on an escalator?).
I was summoned away at the last minute for an emergency though technically I couldn't watch the movie because I oversold, or overgave the 6 tickets to 7 persons. I had to stay overnight at a friend's place, sleeping only at 3am (like I don't always do that, liddat), with guests coming in and going out. The host commented it was almost like a wake, except that no one died...
Which brings to mind today's ST, which I rarely read. 93% wants happy ending for Little Nyonya. I suppose if they had polled me, i would be part of the 93% who wanted a happy ending for Yueniang but
