First: Everyone should get to do the badass walk at least once in their life. You know what I mean-- striding away in slo-mo as explosions billow up behind you, preferably with a cool swoopy coat flying in the backdraft. Like this!
What, you thought I was going to post something that DIDN'T have a Ten reference in it somewhere? Ha. Ha. Poor deluded fools, you.
Second: If I ever get to do that, I want this song playing in the background:

This is actually an incredibly good song, but it started me thinking about all the utter CRAP I like just because it triggers some kind of mental movie. For instance,
Mary France by Jean Jacques Perrey. Sure, he's an incredibly important electronic music pioneer, right up there with Delia Derbyshire, but jeebus this track goes way beyond
Hot Butter and all the way to pure stinky cheese. Still, listen to it and try NOT to conjure up the credit sequence from some imaginary 1960s space-cheesecake movie, complete with girl astronaut spinning through the stars and possibly taking her helmet off to shake out her Clairoled mane. You can't. And that makes it AWESOME.
ETA: I was looking for 'Maroc 7,' by the Shadows, which is another track that triggers an odd sense that I should be in a 1960s spy caper... and WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT: it
IS a 1960s spy caper!
