My hubby works for the company. Yes, I married my dealer. lol. I don't know about ThinkGeek, but Rocket Chocolate itself will ship APO/FPO, however, they unfortunately can't ship to the sandbox, the chocolates melt at a lower temperature than, say, Hershey's or Nestle, because they have no preservatives or wax or artificial stabilizers. God for the flavor, bad for the melting point. I recall being very disappointed by this myself when Joel was over there. But, they can certainly ship to YOU. http://www.rocketchocolate.com (yes, the website sucks, which is why it's in the process of being redesigned by someone who is not the owner's stepson)
makes sense i guess not to ship to the sandbox. prolly be a melty bit o' nasty when you opened the box, lol. a buddy of ours is heading out in the next few (you know frenchie, i think)so i will content myself with sending him good euro goodies, i suppose. ;)
i may go to the site, and grab some to send to my husband on his "trip", tho, thanks!
nice baby pix, BTW. i can't beleive how big she is already! even seeing 2 of my own do it, its still really amaziong to me how FAST they get so BIG. she looks really healthy and happy and gorgeous. congrats! everything going pretty okay?
Maybe I'll just have to hook up Heidi with some while he's gone. After all, keeping the wife sane(ish) is a good way to help the soldier, too. lol. Joel made a point of thanking everyone for keeping me sane, and some individual thanks to big players in my sanity(ish), too, like theda and retcon.
And she is totally getting huge! Whenever we're out and some stranger says "She's so tiny!" I feel like saying "Tiny?!? She's friggin HUGE! You should have seen her when she came out!"
Things are going well. Still getting used tot he whole stay at home mommy thing. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I doubt if I'll ever be he domestic goddess you are, though.
i'm sure hieidi could use some company, or whatever. i agree about helping the spouse being helping the solider. though for myself, i've become more cautious of "the wives". ;P
hee hee...i catch myself saying stuff like that. when i saw tessa, i was carrying on about how big she was, and also saying how long its been since i've held such a wee baby. they grow so dang fast - my daughter has jumped 2 clothing sizes and 2 1/2 shoe sizes since you saw her. i think that people call babies up to about...6 months tiny. tiny being relitive to, say, you or their older kids. she looks like she has grown a LOT. like, a lot a lot a lot.
LOL, i dunno about the domestic goddess thing. i'm working for sanitary daily. getting used to the stay at home mommy thing takes time. helps to have postive people around. you know, and coffee. lots of coffee.
Joel and I have bandied about the idea of getting together with her as much as we can when Frenchie's gone.
I WANNA SEE TESSA!!! And yes, my Ar has grown LOTS.
Well, I'm making a point of seeing my more positive friends more, and trying not to let the negative friends (you know who they are) affect me too much.
once she gets on baby foods, have her take you to the commisary. ees CHEAP there. they often even have the gerber organics, if you go that way. i know so many people who are deployed/deploying right now. lame. and yet, amen for USPS flat rate boxes
( ... )
my kidlets are HUGE. serisouly freaking HUGE. i can send you some from shutterfly, i have never figured out how the heck to post them on LJ. you will freak out at their emmense HUGENESS. i am unsure how this happened. i'll e-mail you about journal-ish junk.
weirdly, i don't know a ton of stay at home moms either. i don't know that there is a gauge - beside some resemblence to sanity in the first bit - because every mom and every kid and every household is different. i know what works and doesn't here, but i know that a lot of people do different things, and it works for them, so..*shrug*
if you see it, anne lamot's "operating instructions" is like the best damn new-mom book in the universe.
i used to eat those things ALL THE TIME. the minty ones.
do they ship APO/FPO? i have some guys heading out to the snadbox soon who i bet would love some in the mail.

Yay for Tessa pics! I'd also love to see new pics of your kidlets, but your old journal is gone and you haven't added me back on this one. :-(
Oh, and thanks. :-) I don't know a lot of stay at home mommies, so I really have no gage...
