You know what's really nice? When you're close enough to someone that there's no awkward pauses, no tentative reaching out or touches laced with uncertainty. It's really nice to show up at someone's house knowing the door will already be unlocked for you, so that there's no time wasted between the time you park out front and get upstairs to hug him hello (as is your habit). It's really nice when you're close enough to someone that you can look in their eyes and sense what they're thinking.
