Conducting Anxiety Reality No. 1

Adelson asked me to tape myself rehearsing my orchestra today, so that we can watch it together later and I can relive every little mistake (each of which I was painfully aware of as it was made) in horrifyingly accurate detail. I rehearsed for the entire period - about 30 minutes, which must come out to equal about 39,452,697 mistakes. I've been spending the rest of today feeling incredibly inadequate.
More to follow. I have a lesson on thursday, at which point I'll actually have to watch that tape and find out what I'm really made of. :-P
