Six Degrees of Spectremeat

I just thought you guys might like to know some things about me that I realized today -- specifically regarding the famous people I've either met in person, or share a wierd connection with.

--Leslie Nielsen (The Naked Gun) went to my high school. Actually, technically it's his high school, since he graduated at least 20 years before I was born.

--While in high school, a friend of mine named Stan was an incredibly untalented artist, despite the fact that his great-great-great (give or take a great) grandfather was Pierre Auguste Renoir.

--Michael J. Fox was born in the same hospital that Winnie and I were.

--Todd MacFarlane (Spawn, MacFarlane Toys) designed the newest logo for our hockey team: the Edmonton Oilers. While I never met him, I did catch a glimpse of him while he did promo work here for the new logo.

--Speaking of the Oilers, my father in law lives two blocks away from where Wayne Gretzky used to play hockey as a lad -- it's a small, unremarkable pond.

--I met Jim Unger (Herman comic strip) when I was thirteen. Hs assistant was the father of a friend of mine.

--While in film school in Vancouver, I met:

--Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny(The X-Files)
--Gary Larsen (The Far Side)

...and others I can't recall. Anybody else share wierd connections to famous people?
