Around Christmas, AMC began rerunning all three seasons of Breaking Bad, which I had heard of and always considered checking out. And now I had it on DVR right in front of me! It was probably a great show or something! Miiiiight as well watch it. And get hooked on it, and capslock all the time, and somehow take five months to go through thirty-

I also have to mention that because the main character is a chemistry teacher, there is so much SCIENCE!! on this show.

n the end, Breaking Bad is a show about people making terrible decisions, frequently out of desperation.

Right? I love the way the show lets us try to justify those decisions (because they are being made by the heroes so they must be, in some way, right, this is TV!) and makes us sort of complicit but never pulls its punches on the consequences .

Yeah! We completely understand why they do what they do, and we expect things to go wrong, but things ACTUALLY GO WRONG, which is unusual for television.
