TEN AND VERONICA SITTING UP A TREE- WINNING THEIR POLLS!!!!

hopefully. I'm invested in the Ten/ Dean battle due to my love of Ten (which thing is it that he did that we don't like?), but I really want Veronica to win over Spike. For the sisterhood!

Being an arse to Mickey and Jackie even though by this point they'd helped save the world and their awesome was ABUNDANTLY clear.

It's affectionate teasing!

I'm just not down with (especially) the kinds of jokes Ten was making about Jackie when she was pretending to be Rose in "Doomsday". Totally unnecessary, and sexist/ageist/weightist* to boot. Which, to be fair, is part of a larger Who pattern in that direction - Ten and Jack both expressed some disgust at being exposed to Donna's sexuality, too. (Which...really, Jack? Really? The horniest man in existence? Being all squicky at a woman with boobs that awesome? That's clearly RTD's biases showing, and I say this as someone who's been a fan.)

*Is there a word for that?

Good point- but... they were retreating when she blew them up AND the six little words is a reference to the fall of Margaret Thatcher which is a fairly awesome reference in a family orientated drama show.

So all in all, I'm still a Ten apologist.

When did people start hating on Ten?

I started feeling disenchanted with the Harriet Jones thing. Others started getting a hate-on when he and Rose acted waaaay too smug and absorbed in each other when other people were, you know, dying in episodes like "Tooth and Claw". For others (and this is where I went from "not feeling him" to "hating him") it was with the treatment of Martha Jones. I only really loved him with Donna, because for once it wasn't about Rose or not being Rose or isn't Rose the best or blah blah blah OMG STOP ALREADY.

(Sorry. Those were are were aggravating times in the fandom.)

I blame Rose for all of that.

Yes, same here. (Also, I couldn't forgive him for not being Nine. I may be slightly too attached.)

Her head was going to explode! It broke his heart! I do not understand the haterz.

If we are going to hate him, let's do it for the dodgy Christmas special, and the robot that ate Victorian London.

Hey, he saved us from that giant steampunk robot! Which was awesome, by the way.
