2008 had been a good year for meeting Internet friends, so it was only fitting that on the last day of the year, I met mcfeste! House of Pies! My sister would LOVE that place, I'm sure. I must tell her about it. My sister is moving to Houston at the end of next year. My brother-in-law got a job with Exxon starting next December (and he doesn't even graduate until August, plus I'm fairly certain he'll be making about twice what I make). So they'll be moving down there, probably long term. I have two uncles (on different sides of the family) who work for Exxon and have their entire working life, so I suspect trips to Houston to visit my sister are in my future. I think they'll be living in the Kingwood area (which is where my uncle lives).

I don't know! I don't know whether there was always on on Westheimer; I convinced myself I knew there had been so I didn't feel stupid, but I'm not positive. Because in my heart, I'm fairly certain I believed there to be only one House of Pies.

After eating, we spectated along the ice rink, hoping to see people fall down.
LOL. You should totally watch synchro skating. It's a crash waiting to happen. The other night we had a few spectacular crashes. My ass still smarts. Ouch!

Back at the house, we ate lots of pie, and then I introduced everyone to Fluxx.

I love Fluxx. I want to try Monty Python Fluxx. Have you played Killer Bunnies?

No, I don't know that one! I've seen Monty Python Fluxx, though. And I'm going to get Zombie Fluxx (I left Fluxx with my mom since she loved it so much).
