The Long Road to Mozzarella Sticks

So as was foreshadowed, arbitrarium and I went to BFD, the big summer concert held by Live105, the only radio station worth listening to around here. But before I get to that, I want to record some of my memories of last year's BFD, because it was pretty awesome.

( BFD 2007, in short (as if): Honeycut, The Matches, CSS, Street to Nowhere, The Lovemakers, Tiger Army, Shiny Toy Guns, Sum 41, Cold War Kids, The Bravery, Silversun Pickups, The Faint, Scissors for Lefty, Kaiser Chiefs, Interpol, Queens of the Stone Age, Social Distortion, Bloc Party )

pictures, music, pimpings, gratuitous strong bad references, real life friends, personal, concerts, coke is the nectar of the gods, girls, such is life, food

Why on earth would you, a grown man, feel self-conscious wearing a picture of a four-year-old girl on your chest?

It was fun, but tiring! I hope next year has a better lineup. I kept seeing shirts for past BFDs, and they all had such great lineups. Maybe they couldn't get any really big bands this year for some reason.

Yes! For all I knew, you and K2O were being polite and they looked like shit and were crappy quality.

It was fun, but tiring! I hope next year has a better lineup. I kept seeing shirts for past BFDs, and they all had such great lineups. Maybe they couldn't get any really big bands this year for some reason.

I'm sure that by the time I'm able to actually attend Lollapalooza some year, I'll have the same problem. The line-ups last year and this year make me want to cry. So awesome. So un-go-able.

I love Flogging Molly, but I can see how most of their songs sound alike.

And I love that Flobots song despite the teasing I get from my brother.

They've all got the same sort of beat and Irish flavor. Which is fine, since they're good at what they do.
