I was never very interested in Six Feet Under when it was on, as it didn't seem to appeal to me at all (some show about a family who owns a funeral home? O...kay, good for them). You know, it's funny. I mention Oz up there as showing me how amazing premium channel television could be, but I watched Sex and the City before that. Heh. I liked it, but I guess it wasn't as impressive.

I suppose most shows are more tolerable when mainlining because you don't have to dwell on the bad for as long, and it passes more quickly. It's just part of the story. And that's what I liked, that the storytelling was pretty organic even when I didn't always like the directions it went.

That's probably true, and maybe I should have waited to watch SFU in one fell swoop, like you.
I started out really loving that show, but it grew very, very tedious towards the end. I hated almost every character by the last season. Especially Ruth. Man, I really grew to hate her.
I would say Nate too, but my love for Peter Krause outweighed my annoyance at Nate and his prickishness.
Michael C. Hall is really great, though. He never got the praise he deserved for SFU, and he's equally good in Dexter.
