In case you haven't heard the
Rob Thomas news, there it is. Chances are good that in 2008, one of three series will hit the airwaves:
- a remake of Cupid
- an adaptation of the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune
- the original series Party Down
(
Avatar 3.2: The Headband )

Ty Lee's braid is clearly sentient and staging a hostile takeover of her ENTIRE BEING. A MINI MARCH OF CIVILIZATION IF YOU WILL.

I'm.... not sure how I feel about that. It is a great TV show (probably the best NZ series ever) but most of what makes it awesome is how Kiwi it is. Although I guess if Rob Thomas is involved...
I loved Cupid back in the day. It is very random that ABC wants to bring it back though.

I don't know much about it. He described it as a comedy-drama, close in tone to VM.

I mean that in the nicest way possible, but unless some Scrubs-esque miracle happens and this show gets a cult just big enough to limp along from season to season, it's going to get very, very cancelled. A dramedy by Rob Thomas? Adapted from New Zealand? DOOM.
