2017 Fanfic Year in Review
My creative output for 2017:

Favorite of the bunch: Don't Open That Door, which from here on out will be referred to as DOTD. Basic premise is Dave thinks his house is haunted, he asks Taylor to come over to help him contact the ghost with a Ouija board, and this causes one of them to be possessed by the ghost. The very dangerous (and horny) ghost.
Best of the bunch: DOTD
Most under-appreciated by the universe: Woolly Mammoth. Least amount of comments so far.
Most fun to write: DOTD
Sexiest fic: I'm going to say "Shifty" because DOTD has consent issues and body shots seem to have a lot more general appeal. There is something very sensual about Chris lying on the bar while Taylor does body shots off of him.
Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you: Dave almost being raped by Nicky.
Hardest fic to write: The Occasional Dude, because it needed to be 10,000 words minimum and at about 6,000, I was done. After some thought, I decided to write in the camping trip and then it became easy to finish.
Biggest disappointment: Three of these fics were written for the Rockfic Ficmas Fest and were written for the requests of other people. Two of those people couldn't be bothered to even say thank you. Turns out they request fics every year and NEVER say thank you. 😠
Biggest surprise: That I wrote so much Real Person Fic! I've written very little because I've just never been inspired to write it much. Then I got back into the Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl really did blossom as a musician and a person after Kurt's suicide; I had no idea he had such a gregarious personality until he came out from behind the drums. Then Taylor came into the band and he is very open and friendly and tells a great story too. They make an awesome pair! I couldn't stop being inspired by those two! The whole story of Nirvana and the Foo Fighters is rich with fascinating people and great stuff to build on. Several of them are easy on the eyes, too.
Most telling fic: The Occasional Dude, not only because it brings Rami into the sex for the first time (apparently, I was finding Rami attractive too!), but because there's a m/m/f threesome. Gee, I wonder what Laurel's favorite sex fantasy is? 😆
Craziest scene you still can't believe you wrote: Taylor can suck his own dick. I knew I was taking a chance by including it, but I can be turned on by kinky things sometimes, and I write my stories for me first.
WiP or 'verse that has the potential to become an epic if you let it: DOTD, because I'm sure once I'm done it will be novel length.
Best idea of the year: The fact that Taylor hid his identity from Dave the first time they had sex and called himself Oh. People really seemed to like that.
Story I want remembered: Because I've spent so much time on it, DOTD.
