There was a triumph of freedom in the forests this week as the last chocobo eater died of pneumonia. Seems they don't do well with excessive rain. That's one less fear for your favorite bird the chocobo. In addition the ghosts in Discedo were rounded up by the your friends in the ghost mafia. Honest for a bunch of crooks.

In a display of opportunism three new monster species have been moving into the area. There's... squids.

Squids. Try not to get inked, I hear that stuff's hard to get out. A large colony of fighting lobsters called yabbies are currently competing with them for the shorelines around Spero and Discedo. They're not the only ones, a large school of flying fish will be moving through the area for the month. Not the conceptual kind so no worries for your sanity, but watch out for their kamikaze dives. All three creatures are edible. ...If you like seafood. [Froooooown.]

BREAKING NEWS! There may be a new lead in the Suspicious Sleep story! Could it be related to this new influx of monsters?

Nothing is for certain, but I can say with my utmost gut feeling that the answer is "probably." Investigations regarding the alleged rumor that his father is the Mayor of the Seven Seas are still pending.

Stalking? Of course you are! Honestly now, living vicariously through the exploits of the living is one thing, but if you don't reign in your curiosity... well, now that's just unprofessional. Journalism is all about keeping a distance. Reporting, not interfering. Remember that!

That image is still rather cruel...

Also remember that the news can be cruel and cruelty is news.
