Adventures in decorating
The house is coming along nicely. We got a bunch of furniture in that I ordered online, so we now have a nice bedroom set and DVD rack (floating!). I imagine I'll get a call sometime this week about delivery of our new couch, which will be freakin' sweet. (Edit: As I was writing this, I got the call -- delivery Thursday!)
A few days ago I went on a curtain shopping spree. We had a target gift card (from our realtor -- he's awesome!), so I hit them up and found a bunch of nice stuff. Some was on sale and the gift card helped, but it was still kind of expensive. Meh, whatever. Got all the curtains up, though, except for in the guest bedroom. I'm on the lookout for a light-colored wooden curtain rod, as I'm going for a light, airy look in that room. That bedroom is now home to boxsprings and unhung curtains! Very cozy! Lol...
My office decor is coming along nicely too. About all it's missing is the futon I'm picking up Thursday from a gal on Craigslist. It's black metal, but I'll probably be painting it silver to match the rest of my decor better. Then need to make some throw pillows for it, probably out of the fabric that I had up in my old office.
Still on the lookout for a living room coffee table and a sleek couch for the bird room. Probably going to be prowling Craigslist for both of those. Our existing couch & recliners are probably going upstairs to the future exercise room for now, at least until I convince Chris to sell them. :D
