Warnings: ...CUTENESS I DON'T KNOW. And slight headcanon since we don't get any real flashback events for Tamaki ahahaha...
Effects: (optional) There's an overall feeling of happiness and peace throughout the dream, but any specific emotions that Tamaki feels at certain points will be felt by the dreamer as well. But overall childish joy.
It had taken him several days, but it was finally finished! The maids had all gathered the required construction paper and markers, and even helped him with some of the spelling and designs, so he made sure that he would properly thank them after he had finished his small errand. But the little 7 yr-old blond boy was proudly looking at the Mother's Day card that he had finally finished.
It was simple really. Just a sheet of soft pink construction paper folded in half with various roses and flower shaped designs (they looked more like child-like scribbles but they could be somewhat made out). He had even cut out a few jagged cut rose petals to help decorate. And of course a splash of glitter. But it was the inside he was proudest of.
Now Tamaki was running through the large manner, peeking through various rooms trying to find his mother. She didn't walk around often due to her ailing body, so he knew there were only a few places she would be. Not finding her in her room or even inside the manor, he headed toward the gardens in the back. It was a nice day, perfect for this special occasion.
With a little help from one of the gardeners, he managed to find his mother sitting on a blanket reading a book. Suddenly feeling a wave of shyness and uncertainty, Tamaki tried to enter quietly so as not to disturb her, but it was as if she had already known he was coming. As soon as he stepped out, she had already put the book away and was smiling at him.
"Tamaki, what are you doing? Is there something you needed?" she asked with that serene smile, the one he would always love and treasure. A smile he wished would last forever.
All previous bashfulness disappeared with that smile. "Mama!" he ran toward her eagerly, the card outstretched in his hands. "Happy Mother's Day!"
With a small laugh, his mother reached out and hugged him before taking the card. "For me? Did you make this?" she asked as Tamaki settled next to her. She then reached over and brushed his face a little. "You have some glitter still on you! It's a good thing they didn't catch you with that," she laughed as Tamaki blushed a little before leaning in close as she opened it.
Inside was a delicately pressed small red rose with lots of random squiggles and lines of various colors around it. On the other was the following message written in Tamaki's still learning childish handwriting (note: it's technically in French but let's just say the Dreamberry also translated it and subtitles appear underneath the text):
To the best mommy in the world
Happy Mother's Day!
Love,
René Tamaki Richard Grantaine
It was a simple and sweet message to be sure, but for a child of his age, Tamaki was especially proud.
"Look, Mama," he said eagerly as he pointed to his name. "The maids helped me spell it all out!"
"They did, did they?" she smiled before giving him a kiss on his forehead. "But it was still you who wrote it." She then hugged the card to her chest. "Thank you, I'll be sure to treasure it forever."
At her words, the little boy beamed and hugged his mother once again before eventually laying his head on her lap and dozing off. After all, he had stayed up an extra half hour after bedtime and even woke up early to put on those last finishing touches. Coupled with the fact he was running around, of course he was tuckered out! But he was happy and even in his dreams he could hear his mother's soft humming.

[smiles a little as he rewatches the dream, aware that it had been broadcasted, but not realizing that his words were about to be as well.] Happy Mother's Day, Mama. I hope you're doing well and getting better.
