(no subject)
so i've figured out that lj only works between the hours of after work and before bedtime. very odd. and very specific, no?
so you know how i've been super busy and working all hard-like lately? well that just changed. through no fault of my own, i am now down two students and 20 hours. the first one's contract ended. the second one is taking a vacation to england. and my only other students total only about 6 hours a week. which means now, unless something really amazing happens, i will end up with less than 130 hours. which is still pretty good, considering i worked about 5-10 hours a week for four weeks. but i don't know if it'll be enough to get my certificate. oh well. it's not my fault, so i shouldn't be penalized, right? i hope.
and today i went to jingshan to sign my contract. i signed it, all right. and they want me to give them a copy of my passport, a copy of my "letter of self-introduction" (whatever that means), a recommendation letter from fu laoshi, and a copy of my college diploma. which i can't get until everyone comes back from england (almost typed "english" there out of habit) which means i may not get it there on time. probably not, actually. which sucks.
also, i got a guinea pig. natalie couldn't keep hers anymore, so i took it. she's so cute. her name is chester, and i will nickname her "hao chi" (delicious) because our chinese friend larry said she was delicious when he saw her. she's so tiny. she's like the size of our other pigs' heads. so little. and so squealy. i love her.
mmmmmm gummy bears. i want to eat more.
