Jonah whistled to himself on the way to Peg's apartment, his hands in his coat pockets. He was happy to be off of work and he was happy to be seeing her again. Peg was cleaning. Ever since she and Jonah got into whatever they were in, she had been cleaning the apartment more. Not that there was much space to clean, but at least she was doing it.

She opened the door for him, looking a little frazzled after quickly putting her dishes away.

"Hi."

He beamed at her, his eyes bright, his cheeks a little pink from being outside. "Hey."

He stepped forward and immediately caught her lips in a kiss. He'd missed her.

Not surprised at all, Peg kissed back happily, pulling him inside and kicking the door shut without leaving his lips.

"How're ya?"

"Good," he grinned. "Really good." He kissed her again, not having noticed the apartment quite yet.

"And you?"

"Doin' okay," Peg said. She got some money singing in the subway today, so it hadn't been a bad day at all.

"Good," he smiled. He sighed and finally tore his eyes away from her for a moment. "... Hey, were you cleaning?"

Peg looked sheepish.

"Uh, yeah."

Jonah grinned at her. "You cleaned." This was obviously significant. "I'm proud of you."

She snored. "Proud of me."

"What? I am," he laughed, shrugging. "I mean first there was the gig and now this? I'd say that's something to be proud of you for."

"Yeah, I guess," Peg replied softly, giving a small shrug.

[specificscotty]

"In any case," he said, kissing her again, "I kinda missed you, today."

"Didja really?" Peg asked, the corner of her mouth quirking into a half smile.

[specificscotty]

"Yeah. Definitely missed you, today," he said, blushing just a tiny bit. "The day goes by a lot slower when you keep looking at the clock, by the way."

Admittedly, Peg was distracted by certain things, not paying much attention to what he was saying.

"Mhm?" she murmured.

[specificscotty]

"Peg?" Jonah asked, pulling back a bit to look at her. "Is everything alright?"
