It couldn't of been better...
This weekend was B-AWSOME!
Im not one for crazy long posts so ill just touch on the highlights.
Saturday SAKURA FESTIVAL! Great food especially TAKOYAKI! Interesting preformances, KIRININ BEER GARDEN, and thankfully very few and infrequent otaku presence. Not that i mind, but sometimes just put the cosplay down and enjoy, or atleast since its a cultural celebration. Maybe traditional japanese clothes.
Saturday night- FACT (filipino american's coming together) We went to their 14th annuel cultural night where they did a very interesting production. It was both entertaining and it filled one of my requirements for theatre class where i needed to see an outside production and write about it.
saturday late night- New friends and 7 losses in a row of beer pong. But awarded a big bottle of bombay gin thanks to karls brother.
Sunday- Intercultural Festival @VCU. We saw many live preformances of many different cultures. I pet a LAMA, PONY, and POPBELLY PIG!
Met up and ran into many friends. All things that were good fueled my desire to transfer to VCU after my next semester at TCC is over.
Sunday nite- introduced to the awsome that is WHOLE FOODS. Its a magical mythical place where all wonderful flavors collide causing me to empty my pockets just to take home some heaven.... or leave a bit of it in camille's fridge. Afterwords, we had a nice dinner w/friends at GALAXY.
Thanks to lesserofnoevils personanimus thrivecurious crazylildirufan, Elaine, Karl, Jake and anyone else i ran into for helping make this turn into a good break from school.
Time to break out of cloud 9 and start on the mountain of assignments I have to do =[
