Hey Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl here. It’s finally summer, and how are Upper East Side parents to free themselves of their offspring this time of year? Why, by sending them to a ridiculously posh sleep-away sports camp. And this camp is no ordinary rich-kid camp. The spawns of the fabulously wealthy are only headed to the most renowned camp, owned by the archeologist extraordinaire Lara Croft, who appears only once during the summer to guide the Super Seniors on a 3-day back-packing expedition. Careful of your drooling, boys…and girls…I hear Ms. Croft is quite the heartbreaker. Notable heads of the camp include lesbian icon and tennis superstar Dana Fairbanks and up-and-coming Hollywood actress Niki Stevens. Ms. Fairbanks will once again be heading up instruction on the courts. Gossip Girl sends her congrats to Ms. Fairbanks on going into remission. Niki Stevens, star of the recent lesbian film Lez Girls, will direct the mid-summer camp play. Ms. Stevens was rumored to have had a fling with the film’s female director - will Ms. Fairbanks make a play off the court for Ms. Stevens?
And who attends such a camp? Not only will our fav besties S and B spend their last summer there as Super Seniors, with Chuck and Blair's boyfriend Nate across the lake, but plenty of the offspring of the non-Upper East Side filthy rich are shipped there as well. Who, you ask? Top mentions go to a certain trouble-making Senator’s daughter and rock legend Raif Davies’ rebel daughters. Without a doubt, many offspring from the glamorous SoCal country club scene will sleep in bunk beds… I also hear S’s partner in crime last summer will be joining the wilderness outing again.
Breaking News: The daughter of cosmetics’ mogul Erica Kane will reappear as a counselor after a hiatus spanning the last two summers. Thanks to my source, Greens99, she’s been recuperating from a feeble appetite. And there’s talk she’s hiding another secret as well…Relaxation and girl bonding might be exactly what the doctor’s ordered. Good thing the boys are confined to the other side of the lake.
Watch out, campers. Although your rich and you’re used to bodyguards, you might want to be extra careful this summer. One of my sources, Liz33, says there will be more than the run-of-the-mill security at camp. What kind of undercover law enforcement will be lurking in and around the area? Who, or what, are they protecting? Gossip Girl wants to know.
What kind of scandalous sexual encounters will arise in this small camp setting? Will there be another counselor-camper hook-up? Will you kids venture across the lake, or stay on the same side? What kind of troubles and tribulations will S & G get themselves into this time? Any one daring enough to sneak out and hit up the only bar in town - I hear there’s a hot bartender…Gossip girl only hopes there won’t be another near drowning in the lake this summer…but then again, a little girl-on-girl CPR is always enjoyable to watch.
