I feel like I am finally getting a little more time to relax now. I am at work and there are no kids in my training room so I can have at least a little peace and quiet. Last night I was able to spend the night in my new apartment for the first time and I must be honest, I didn't sleep very much. Because it's an apartment and the walls are thin, I can hear the cars go by at night and the air conditioning units running outside my window. It kept me up most of the night so I am very tired today.
I love the new place, though. It's so enormous for an apartment that I feel like I am in a house! Our living space is so big that my roommate and I no longer feel cramped like we did before. I cannot wait until I am fully unpacked and I can paint my room! I can't just leave the walls all white so I am going to try and pick out a color that coordinates with my bedspread and matching shower curtain.
As much as I am loving my stillness, it won't last very long because I have to work all day tomorrow. I am helping with my company's annual sports physicals starting at 7:45am (I only take height, weight, and blood pressure, nothing more!) and then I have to run to a home baseball double-header. From there, I leave to work a soccer tournament that pays extra until about 9:00pm. On Sunday, after church gets done, I am going back to the old place to do some last cleaning and painting. After the weekend is complete, however, I will have the ability to sit and enjoy my new home and be still; what a wonderful thought!
