On the whole, I am liking my new work schedule; I get to sleep in later--until about 8:15--and the traffic to and from work is not as bad. That said, I'm still trying get adjusted to it because of the fact that I sleep in later now. I used to eat breakfast around 8, but now it's more like 9, so when I'm supposed to eat lunch--usually between 12 and 1--I'm not the least bit hungry because I only ate 3 hours earlier! It's like it was in college for me; I ate breakfast at 9 and wasn't hungry again until dinner at 5. I didn't eat lunch at all yesterday and wasn't even remotely hungry until after 4. Le sigh. And while I'm on the subject of work, which seems to be all I do lately, I found out that the vacant permanent staff position they were planning to fill at the end of the year isn't getting filled. Instead, they decided to hire yet another seasonal staff person, which makes no sense since those positions are, you know, not full-time permanent! Grr. So now I don't know what I'm going to do once they cut back my hours in the fall.

I have to say, on the whole, I really liked this latest 2-part Doctor Who. I think they executed the whole "the Doctor falls in love with a human (who is not his companion) and has a hard time leaving her" thing better this time than they did last season with that episode "The Girl in the Fireplace". And I think a big part of that was that this time it was done over two episodes. I feel badly for Martha, though, having all of these feelings for the Doctor and knowing they can't/won't/aren't being returned in the way she wants. She has grown on me during the season, and I liked how she took charge of the situation at the beginning of this week's episode. Still, I can't wait for the Capt. Jack episodes that are forthcoming!!!
