I loved college, but that was then.

I had no idea how insecure I was about...shit and stuff...until I got a letter in the mail today from my college touting the upcoming 5-year reunion in October. Made me want to crawl into bed and not get up until tomorrow.

And I would have if Community and Parks and Recreation weren't on tonight and the TV wasn't in another room.

Meh.

Oh god. October? That's.... frightening. Now that the shock is over, are you considering going? At least to have a SAMBA reunion or something?

(I just got back from about a week away from my computer, btw.)

As of now, IDK if my finances can handle it. I only just got bumped up to full-time hours at work and still want to put more in savings. We'll see come summer, I guess...

How's things with you lately?

I feel like five years maybe isn't enough time to separate myself from it? I'd like to say I'm interested, but honestly I'm more interested in the upcoming 10-year high school deal.

Things are okay. I'm working all the time at various camp sessions, which is great. I leave on my big trip February 17th, which is exciting and nerve-wracking. I still have no stable life, but I'm making peace with it.

What are you up to?

Where are you off to next? (Shows how in touch with things I am!)

My life is considerably more boring. Working and saving up for moving out again and stuff like that. It strange because my parents are both totally awesome about the whole thing with me living at home, but I feel like I'm sort of in this state of semi-arrested development (hey, that's the name of the show!) all over again.

And then there's stuff going on with my brother and sister-in-law that I'd rather just be ignorant about, if only because it makes me feel REALLY awkward when I'm around them and have to bite my tongue to keep from sounding insanely judgmental. That was much easier to do when I was on my own.

Mexico to meet up with a friend, then we're doing Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay. I don't know that I've mentioned it online, so it's understandable!

I'm kind of in the same position - at least you have a job and real life going for you!

Ick. Good luck with that!
