Ivory is as impure as anything else. I mean think about it, even the soap brings back memories of when I was younger and reminds me of purer times. How misleading. I didn't know how messed up everything was going to end up when I was taking a bath 13 years ago. It's deceiving, isn't it? I dont know how interested in the story of Adam and Eve you are but if you are interested you should read paradise lost by Milton. Its obviously not truth just one mans version of the begining of genesis but I think it is beautiful and just thought you might be interested

I can't find the paper I wrote about Milton and the Bible, but I did search for it. Perhaps some other time.

i think it's in the interpretation. I happen to think that the serpent opened her eyes and then she realized exactly what it could be like to do something that was forbidden. To me, the serpent provided the knowledge.

The serpent persuaded, but never said exactly what would happen. She took the chance of her own will (though that too can be argued, as how could "God" have not know what she was going to do, being all-knowing?).
