Another knock on Royal Oak Animal Hospital
Just in case the story of my dog getting mauled by the groomer didn't put people off of Royal Oak Animal Hospital, here's a followup:
So, I called them on Monday asking ROAH to fax my vet records to Woodside. I absolutely needed those so they would know it was OK to go ahead and go the teeth-cleaning procedure, they needed good blood/heart records to know the anesthesia would be safe. If I had not gotten those and had to delay the tooth cleaning and re-do the bloodwork, it was about $250 lost.
They said (Monday afternoon) "oh, sure, we'll get those over there". I figured, no problem -- and I was glad I hadn't had to go in person to fetch the records, my time is stretched incredibly thin these days.
I walk into Woodside on Tuesday morning -- nothing had been faxed. They called up ROAH and were quite nice, but just said "hey, we need those ASAP, please".
What did the girl at the ROAH office say?
"We have better things to do"
I could not believe this. That vet has to fire her entire staff, they are horrible. They managed to not only piss me off, but now they piss off another vet clinic too? This is so unprofessional, I cannot believe it. The Woodside staff was quite mad, they were about ready to jump in the car and go slap a bitch.
So, yeah... I'm usually a very positive person, but in this case I have to say: do not give these people your business. They suck.
PS: Shadow is quite fine today after his big day yesterday. He popped out of the dental procedure with no problems, and was completely fine by early evening -- we even took a nice long walk and he had plenty of energy (dragging me along as usual).
