Ashley had been expecting to see Kate and Dean, but they'd never shown up. She wondered if they'd left for some more hotel-room nookie or if they'd just retreated to Kate's room.
When she finally saw Freelander it was apparent that things were not happy. Unfortunately she'd had her hands full of cable and couldn't run the freelancer down.
