let's play a game.

SITUATION

1. There are two outs and two strikes at the last at-bat for the St. Louis Cardinals in the ninth inning.

2. The Houston Astros lead 4 to 2. An Astros victory means they go to the World Series.

3. THERE ARE TWO STRIKES AND TWO OUTS AT THE LAST CARDINALS AT-BAT.

FACTS

1. Albert Pujols has hit only one home run in the entire post-season.

2. Brad Lidge, the closing pitcher, has the ungodly ERA or something like 0.127.

3. Albert Pujols has not reached first base the entire game.

RESULTS

While at the bottom of the ninth, with two outs and two strikes (with Lidge striking out the TWO PREVIOUS BATTERS BACK-TO-BACK), Eckstein hits, reaches first, then steals second. Then, some other guy gets on base. Afterwards, in Pujols' first hit in the game, HE HITS A MOTHERFUCKING HOME RUN, thus, putting the Cardinals up 5-4. The Astr-chokes, of course, do not even reach first at the bottom of the ninth.
