Retro Spec writer's guidelines (cross-posted)
Retro Spec: Tales of Fantasy and Nostalgia is a planned paperback anthology of speculative flash fiction, short stories, and poetry about culture, society, and politics from the 1920s to the 1980s. The pieces need not take place during those times, but a strong and recognizable element from one of those decades must be present and integral to the stories and poems. The works must also contain an element of science fiction, fantasy, or supernatural horror. If it's not speculative, I'm not interested. Retro Spec will be published by Raven Electrick Ink, publisher of Cinema Spec: Tales of Hollywood and Fantasy and Sporty Spec: Games of the Fantastic.
