what a time to be alive...
me=lazy. that about sums up the goings-on of today and yesterday. wait, no, scratch that. me=lazy about schoolwork. there. that says it all. i've actually done quite a bit of interesting things lately. lets see...there was Charlie's dinner party on thursday, which i must say was a thoroughly enjoyable time. so. much. wine. and cake! mmmm....then yesterday i went to class, then came home, read a book, went for a walk cause it was GORGEOUS outside, hung out & watched a michael jackson special with liz (oh, michael. what ever happened to you??), then made pizza w/her and katie. (ok, this is starting to sound like just a list. how boring!) then we went to the McGill/Concordia hockey game, which was truly fantastic, seeing as how McGill won, derogatory songs about Concordia were sung, massive hockey fights were witnessed, beer was drunk, and yes, Katie and I found the elusive Hockey Game Big Cookies. oh, the joy.
yesterday was also eventful, as i went to a rockabilly/country-punk show at barfly. even though no one was available to accompany me, i thought i'd try my hand at the solo-show-going experience. definitely a good time, i must say. the music was out-of-control good. (erin creley, I should let you know that Greaser-Kid's band is REALLLLLLY good. he is a damn good singer! so, i think i can add him to my list of crushes. daaaaaaaaamn!)
then, upon coming home, i ran into the two french boys that just moved in to my building., they're really nice, and don't seem to mind the fact that my french is very very stilted. they even invited me to drop by and hang out some time! so i might have to do that.
and finally, i had a fantastic riding lesson this morning. cortez only gave me trouble twice. most of the time he was on the ball, doing leg yields and trot poles like it was his job. well, it kind of is. but today he actually seemed happy about it for a change! he also seemed to like the candy cane i gave him after the lesson. awwwww....fer cute!
well, that's all for now. time to find some sort of fun activity for the evening!
