There was no reason to treat them like that. Nurse Joy told me that the Nidoran♀'s wounds were mostly strong burns, maybe from a strong fire-type.

[He sighs a bit, remembering the scene.]

I can understand how the Nidoran♂ felt in that moment, that's why I couldn't stand there watching.

At least the Nidoran♀ is alright but... I cannot abide a person who would do something like that.

You will keep the Nidoran♀, won't you, Croix? After something like that it may think all humans are like that. It needs to be shown that not all humans are.
