lately, i mean, this is hardly a work of art. I've lost whatever it is that let me write in a way i could be proud of whenever i wanted to.

yea. you can actually understand this one! ;)
i wouldn't worry about it. given the right situation at the right time, you'll be pouring 'em out like you used to. read the dresden dolls book for inspiration hehe.
